The Usask WIC organized a movie night event on March 29, 2018 in the Health Sciences building (HLTH 1130). The movie featured is an award winning movie “Hidden Figures”. Popcorn, Pizza and Pop were provided to students, faculty and staff present at the movie event. 
The movie is a true story of the female mathematicians who played huge roles in sending the first man safely into orbit! These women faced numerous adversities due to their gender and ethnicity during the height of the space race and segregation abolishment movements. The movie delivered a powerful message by reminding the audience that brilliance has no prejudice, genius has no race, strength has no gender and courage has no limit.
Thanks to Whitney Shannon for spear heading the organizing of this event and all the members that helped out in different capacities.
