As a way to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2019. The Usask women in chemistry organized a panel discussion on how to overcome challenges in STEM.
The speakers at this event included PhD candidate and WiC member: Josseline Ramos Figueroa, Associate Professor: Dr. Lee Wilson (PhD), Associate Professor: Dr. Tara Kahan (PhD) AND MSc Student and WiC member: Omozojie Aigbogun.
The event was anchored by Dr. Elaheh Khozeimeh and PhD student Emerita Mendoza Rengifo. The panelists shared their experiences and proffered solutions to current challenges with under representation in STEM. The audience also had the opportunity to engage the panelists with questions and suggestions.
