University of Saskatchewan Women in Chemistry is excited to announce that we will be hosting a LOGIC Retreat in June 2019 with theme: Women Leading and Excelling!

We are excited to announce that this event is being held at Laval University!!

As a natural extension of our values, we are organizing the third annual Leaders Overcoming Gender Inequality in Chemistry (LOGIC) retreat. This is a two-day satellite meeting of the Canadian Chemistry Conference in Quebec City on June 1st and 2nd 2019. Every year, a focal theme is addressed; this year, we will be celebrating the theme “Women Leading and Excelling”. The retreat includes plenary lectures, panel discussion, and workshops, all with the aim of providing professional development and networking opportunities to women in the chemical sciences across Canada while conversing on issues about gender equity.

This workshop has and continues to attract the best young female scientists in Canada and we are aiming for 150 attendees in 2019. This workshop provides a unique opportunity for networking and demonstrating support for diversity in tomorrow’s innovators.
