The University of Saskatchewan-Women in Chemistry (USask-WiC) was founded by Prof. Ingrid J. Pickering, Dr. Elaheh Khozeimeh Sarbisheh, and Kelly Lynn Summers in April 2017.
USask-WIC works toward fostering an environment in which gender diversity is realized. The goals of USask-WIC are to:
i) Increase the pool of resources, encourage support and promote advocacy for women and gender minorities,
ii) To foster a collaborative environment, involving undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, staff and faculty members with the common goal of supporting women and gender minorities, and
iii) To plan and host events that will facilitate the aforementioned goals of the club, and provide a positive experience for all the members.
